Mini-Sample — A Sample Butterfly for Readers of Revenge of the Mini-net
This site illustrates a working interconnection of five domains in a "Butterfly" pattern as explained in Revenge of the Mini-net. The five sites comprise a central site and four "Ring" or "Feeder" sites as shown in the diagram below (the diagram is Figure 15 from the companion e-book Dynamic Linking).
To make the links in this sample easy to follow, we've used simple sub-domain names and we've also color-coded the pages. Here's an overview of the sites in this sample net and how they interlink.
The central site is center.mini-sample.com. This would be your e-commerce site and is the one that is boosted in ranking because of the sites in the Ring.
The Ring sites are named by cardinal direction, i.e., north, south, east, and west. The diagram llustrates how the sites are arranged and interlinked.
